944 Turbo Seat motor/switch

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 944 T; Year: 1988; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: ~95,000;

The driver's seat (power) is stuck in the "all the way back" position. The switches for the seat upright and lumbar adjustment seem to work fine, as do at least 2 ways of the 4-way switch for the seat bottom (the front and rear portions of the seat bottom can each be adjusted up and down, and I assume the seat bottom can be adjusted to move back if it ever goes forward again). When I activate the switch to try to move the seat bottom forward, I see some slight movement of what looks like a hex head on top of the relevant seat motor, so I think the switch is fine, but the seat will not move forward. (1) Is there a way to manually adjust the seat, e.g., using a hex key to manually rotate the motor, and (2) to fix this problem should I be looking at the 4-way seat switch, the cable between the seat motor and seat, or something else?
