964 Tip R & P Gearing

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Year: 1991; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 39,000;

I noted in your Tech Appendix VI - Specs, the '90 and '91 Tips had very different R & P gearing: 2.09 vs 3.67. Question: wouldn't this create Significantly different performace results; Acceleration, Fuel Mileage, & Top Speed??? And what about emissions?Since all the Mag road test on the C2 Tips, and Porsche specs imply all the 964s where the same, yet report on the '90 version, are the later models quicker? 0 -60? Thirstier mpg? & Slower (but we don't have Autobahns...so not important)?Is this a USA Spec only and if so what was the gearing for Euro - ROW models?
