968 Clutch and Flywheel replacement

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 968; Year: 1992; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 53900;

Two (2) questions: Question #1:My clutch is starting to slip(It feels like turbo lag when I floor the throttle at, say, 3000RPM in third gear). I know the dual-mass fly wheel is a weak point on the 968 and it VERY expensive to replace. So, do you think it is prudent to replace it when I have the clutch replaced? Do you know of anyone who makes an upgraded part, non dual-mass type? I consider my car to have low mileage and it is moderately driven. I plan to keep the car and don't want to have to go through this expense in another 50k, any advice on improving the clutch/flywheel on my car? Question #2: I want to buy a second Porsche and am interested in the 1988-1989 Turbo S. I have learned much from past articles about the cars but have not found any that speak specifically about the engine longevity in these cars. How many miles can one reasonably expect from a 944 Turbo engine & transmission? Also, what are considered safe modifications to the engine that would not greatly decrease its service life? What kind of horsepower do these mods net?
