968 cold start problem

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 968 Tiptronic; Year: 1994; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 33,500;

My 968 starts poorly when cold. It will stumble a bit then die on the first attempt. It will usually run fine on the second attempt, but "squeaks" a lot (from the belts?). I always start it with the AC turned off so there's less drag, but that really doesn't help much. If the outside temperature is above about 90, it usually starts on the first attempt. Do I have a cold start valve problem? Does this car even have a "cold start valve?" Why does it squeak when first started and during warm up? Most of the squeaking seems to come from the AC belt whether the AC is on or not. All the belts are new including the timing belts. Thanks for the help!!
