!988 Carrera Exhaust

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1988; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 121k;

I have reviewed the many articles on exhaust system replacement, and note that the consistent recommendation for header upgrade is SSI. I understand that these will generally fail emmisions tests. The only system I could find that retains catalytic converter(s) is GHI Motorsports. Do you have any information on power, sound and heat exchanger performance on GHI systems? Are you aware of another environmentally effective system that improves power similarly to SSI performance? Does Virginia have emissions testing requirements? Do SSI (non-catalyst) systems fail all emmisions tests, or just CA?
