Joel-Have searched the archives to no avail. Just purchased this vehicle and, in going through normal maintenance checks, found that the belt tensions are too low. Started to remove the nut but 12 pt. tool would not fit. Seems some cretin/shade-tree mechanic has used an incorrect Allen wrench to change belts. 8 mm will fit but slips when attempting to break nut free. Am trying to think of creative fix. Can only come up with trying to find and use a suitable left-hand bottom end tap, then thread a bolt in to use for resistance in the proper direction against the alt. shaft nut. Do you or anyone out there have a fix?
