Where can I find (easily if Possible) the wire harness or wire that would diconnect my smog pump to test a theory of mine? My car has an exhaust flutter! It's an annoying noise that comes through my motorsound mufflers. The mufflers have been checked and new ones have been tried. The cat was checked. New crush rings at the Heat exchanger. Two seperate diagnostic tests were run. My theory is that the smog pump is malfuntioning or staying on or in the open position and forcing air through the system. It's only noticable at idle on rev downs or taking off from an stop sign. The mystery to me is why the flutter goes away with A/C on high (top button). The noise begins at the heads where the smog pump forces fresh air through the air jackets that are next to exhaust port valves. I've spent the last six months searching for this noise and the smog pump is all thats left that I can think of that would cause this. thoughts?
