993 left pull under acceleration

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 1;

I had a similar situation with my 95 and it turned out to be the vulcanized connection in the steering control arm. The looseness in the joint (as much as 12 degrees) allowed the car to wander significantly and I found myself having to make steering corrections when I let off the gas. I discovered I could grab the rotor at 3 and 9 and twist it (rotate it around a vertical axis) without moving the other wheel or the steering wheel. Replacing the control arm unit cured it.
