996 check engine light

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 16600;

follow-up: We changed the sensor to the left cylinder bank. Do the sensors near the cat show the same error code as the one near the cylinders? Is the left cylinder bank connected to the right cat, or do the exhausts mix prior to the cats? Can I take a sensors from the right bank cat (on the left cat) and switch them with the left bank's cat sensors as a test (presumably if it's a bad sensor, we'll get the error code for the right bank when the light comes up if we rotate the sensors)?I agree with your point about "pressuring" PCNA. Pessimistic in these things, but maybe they'll step up. As I said, I have the dealer checking into it, and will contact my local mech about playing with the sensors near the cat if you think that's indicated.
