In replying to a question on the RMS problem and purchasing a car on April 26th, you mentioned a problem with the coolant expansion tank. I wanted to let you know that I just had this done on my car, when the coolant tank experienced a crack, leaving a small puddle of coolant on the garage floor and a distinctive odor from coolant leaking on the exhaust system. Surprisingly, I had problably put about 500 miles of freeway driving on the car between first noticing the problem and then recognizing it was a problem The coolant level was only slightly below the low mark, with no noticeable inmpact on temperature.Anyway, your cost estimate was on the mark, $150 for parts, including coolant, and $360 (about 3 hours) in labor at the local dealership. It was covered under my extended warranty with First Guard, except for a $200 deductible, that I got from the dealer, when I purchased the car.
