996 TT shutdown routine

Vehicle Information: Year: 2002; Engine (Size, Modifications): 3.6 twin turbo/stock; Total Mileage: 1200;

I just purchased a 2002 996 TT, and it's my fifth 911, and first turbo. Over the years, I reecall reading somewhere along the way that turbo owners should let the engine idle for a while after driving to let the turbo cool down. If that were ever true for the older 930s, is it still a good idea for the 996 turbo?
