997 engines, follow up

Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 20,000;

My previous question was answered completely, and thank you. I would like to follow up briefly if I may. Why then are the turbo and GT3 engines, if based on the previous 911 engines, considered to be stronger and more reliable? If I am missing something, I apologize, but based on the discussions in here, that seems to be the case. Do you expect the Turbo and GT3 engines to experience the same valve guide and port clogging that is being experienced by the older models at present?I am also wondering if the increasing amount of participation in driving events, is prematurely causing some of these problems. (personally, I think having or using a track car is best for that, but thats my opinion)I just sold my 2001 Cab, and am seriously considering purchasing a 997, however I may wait until a C4 version comes out, just for kicks and for something new. A 997S4 would be a really interesting toy! (btw, as an aside, my Michelin Pilots lasted almost 20,000 miles before the rears needed to be replaced. I must drive like a grandma!)
