A/C standard on US models

Heating and Ventilation

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1987; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 196,000;

Chris,I recently contacted Porsche Cars No, America for a list of option codes on my recently purchased Carrera. Had to send them a copy of my Pink first.I got all the codes for my file. They didn't show a code for air, said it may have been standard.I have researched this through a number of my Porsche books and have found no answer. The air is new as is the engine, however it is clear to me the radiator is original. Do you know or how I can find out when A/C became standard equipment on US 911s? Thanks Dan
