Acceptable Difference in Front and Rear Tire Diameter?

Wheels and Tires

Model: 944 S2, Year:1991, Mileage:78k, Type of use:Both Street & Track
I am considering tires for DE and am interested to know what the acceptable difference in the tire diameter is between front and rear wheels. The tires I'm considering have a diameter of 25.55" for the front tires and 24.92 for the rear tires. This makes the rear tires 0.63" (2.5%) smaller. I understand that if the difference between the tire diameter is large enough it can affect the antilock brake system and cause it to activate at less than full braking. I've been told that a small difference is acceptable so I'm hoping to understand what actual measurements would be acceptable. Also, does it matter which tires are smaller in the antilock brake system or is it the same issue if the front are smaller or the rear are smaller?Aside from the antilock brake system and a small ride height difference, are there any other issues to consider? Thanks for your guidance and expertise!
