Air cond removal

Heating and Ventilation

Air cond compressor sprung a leak 9 months ago, won't hold a charge. I use the car only for autocross and track, but it's street legal. Am considering removing the rear air conditioning condensor (under the hood grill) to remove weight and improve air flow into engine compartment. May also remove the compressor to save weight. Would plan to reinstall whenever I'm ready to trade up to newer 911. What concerns should I be aware of, what should I do to maintain the system? Will the system be too damaged to reinstall if I remove parts noted and store them for a year or two?
