Airflow Sensor

Fuel System

Replacing the airflow sensor did make a difference in how the car starts and runs. Both much better. It was pretty ragged before. This even though the new sensor looks identical to the old one internally. Nothing appears bent. However, once it warms up it will still sometimes stumble on accel between 1000 and 2000 rpm but not always. On decel idle speed sometimes drops as far as 200 rpm and hunts before stabilizing at 900 rpm. Sometimes it will drop far enough to stall.I cleared everything (disconnect both battery cables and wait a while) to see what new message would come up if any. Code 1500 before starting. After doing so and starting the check engine light came back on and the car ran as indicated before. The blink code was again 1121, airflow sensor. It seems like we're making progress but I'm looking for suggestions on where to look next. Thanks for the help so far.Just a side note. My local Porsche dealer came up with 2 different part numbers for this sensor, both wrong, and then told me the last one was no longer available. Vertex came through. Pretty bad when the dealer for cars like this should be the standard setter. Makes me hesitant to think about a new Porsche when this would be my warranty service...
