Alarm key switch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1984; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 143,000;

For the last year we have slowly been restoring this great car. We are now to the point of getting this "alarm key switch to work. I read in past Q&A's that the Porsche part number is 911 637 101 00. I have tried in vein to order it from Porsche of Naples, no luck. So I did an internet search of the part number and found that NO ONE has them! That they are not currently being made by Porsche at this time. What are we to do? I don't mind putting in another alarm system. What works best? We can't disconnect the present system to try to get a key made without the alarm going off. If we disconnected the battery and then disconnected the alarm that of course would work. But we have no idea of what this key is even suppose to look like, shapewise. We need some idea as to what to do for the alarm system. At this time we don't feel comfortable leaving it in a parking lot. Help. We're scheduled to get new paint soon and want to get this resolved.
