three basic questions:1)oil pressure:the 33 year old 2.7 registers just over 160k miles, (top end rebuild at 85K about 20 years ago) it runs great, and burns a quart of 20-50 every 900 miles. oil pressure at 180 degrees, 60 mph, 2800 rpm is around 40 lbs and appears fine. (10 lbs for every 1k rpm). However the oil pressure at 210 degrees, 60 mph, 2800 rpm is just 20 lbs! What is your opinion on minimum acceptable oil pressure on a 33 year old 2.7 with 160k miles? What is a better test to determine if it is safe to drive? I'm planning on installing an external factory front fender mount radiator/oil cooler as soon as possible. It's still spring in Carolina!2)left front wheel bearing is loose. It appears that all is necessary is buy the correct size hex wrench, loosen that clamp, and with channel locks just tighten the clamp? seems odd, (as compared to the detroit nut I've always adjusted)3) I've been told that my alternator has been upgraded, due to the fact that i have no external voltage regulator, and a 24mm nut? can u provide details to that upgrade?thanks,,marion...
