battery is being discharged at over 250 milliamps with car turned off and key out

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.7; Total Mileage: 37000; Transmission: Tiptronic;

battery drains overnight.disconnect ground calbe form battery and reconnect next morning the battery is fine. I connected a multimeter between the battery negative post and the negative cable with the car off and the key removed and something in the car is drawng more than 250 milliamps. While multimeter ws connected i pulled each fuse from the fuse block one at a time and the car continued to draw the same electricity from the battery. Mometum Porsche replaced the alternator under warranty janary of 05. Weve have put maybe 8,000 miles n the car since then. I have been told to pull the cable from the alternator and leave the battery connected to see if the battery drains, How hared is it to get to the alternator and how do I do that? Is that a good idea? Would connected the multimeter as I described tell me the same thing as waiting to see if the battery drains. The battery was replaced in January and is a good batttery. Any ideas?Thanks
