I dont drive my car on a regular basis-- wouldnt a deep cycle marine battery be better than an automotive battery? I ask this as I need to replace both my 928's battery and my boat battery now. The main problem is the warranty. The marine batteries seem too limited to 12 mos. The way I understand the marine battery to work better than the auto battery is its ability to charge down or get low and then recharge to full capacity. When automotive batteries get too low, they dont recover as well which leads to a premature failure. The new Gel cell batteries look good but they too come in marine and automotive.
