Brake proportioning valve

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/6; Year: 1970; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.4L; Total Mileage: 75000;

In response to the recent question about the aftermarket brake proportioning valve, the one Garretson Enterprises used to sell years ago was a Kelsey-Hayes model. I bought this exact unit over the counter at my local Chevrolet dealer as it was in the GM high performance parts catalog. I made a simple bracket to bolt the unit to, that also bolted to the stock mount on the firewall and then used the T-fitting that splits teh rear hard lines from a '72 911 and made the connecting lines by just rebending some extra stock lines I had. I set the knob in about the middle of the adjustment and it works great! By the way, I had the engine out when I did the install, which made it much easier. I'll dig out my receipts tonight and try to get a part number for this piece for everybody, and post it on the site ASAP. I hope this helps, Tim.
