Brake Squeal - wear or vibration?

Model: 911, Year:2003, Mileage:66K, Type of use:Street use only
I've had a 2003 911 for a couple months now; bought used with 66K. Last couple weeks of occasional drives, the brakes squeal LOUDLY under moderate pressure near stopping - under 10-ish mph, approaching zero. Not every time, but mostly. It's not a metal grinding noise; so far, rotors don't appear grooved. Brakes FEEL ok. There is no light on the dash (perhaps missing the wear sensors?). Seems unrelated to brake temperature - happens cold or hot. Sounds like the worn-pad indicators on my Olds Cutlass back in the day.Do Porsche brake pads have audible, screechy wear indicators? Can one visually observe whether a brake pad has enough thickness to eliminate wear as a source of squeal?
