Brakes/Rear Wheels?

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Targa; Year: 1988; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 6 cyl stock?; Total Mileage: 95k;

Any ideas what might be causing this noise?After driving my car for 30-45 minutes, I get a noise in the rear when downshifting and braking to come to a halt. The sound is one that seems to come from the wheel / brake area. It sounds like you can hear the wheel going around and round and it stops when the wheel stops turning. I'm thinking that maybe after something back there warms up and expands that it begins to rub against something else. Maybe like the brake not going back into position but rather staying too close to the wheel? It doesn't make noise when I proceed, only when coming to a gradual halt. On the other hand, of course, it might not have anything to do with the brakes. What I do know though is that I've kept an eye on the clock and it seems to happen at about the same interval of time 30 -45 minutes into my ride. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks,John Norris
