Joel;Just need confirmation for piece of mind.... My 996 was beginning to have problems starting. Mainly when it was warmed up. I thought it might have been vapor lock (that's what it seemed like to me.) This went on for a couple of days and then the check engine light came on (said to drive to nearest workshop or something like that). Took it a tech who has worked on it before. His findings were that the cam position sensor on the right bank was bad. It was putting out readings that were no where near normal. So he replaced it and since it was bad, he went ahead replaced the other bank as a precaution assuming if the one went bad, the other probably had a good chance of going bad too. Car is running fine so far. Looking at the tech section I didn't see anything really close to this, so I'd just like to get your feedback on this.
