Car will not start after weeks of storage

Electrical and Electronic

Model: 993 C2S, Year:1998, Mileage:16000, Type of use:Street use only
My 1998 C2S does not want to start after storing car for a couple of months. I can not find a similar question in the data base. After storage, the following happens: The remote will not lock or unlock the doors; the immobilizer can to be canceled and the immobilizer light on the clock won't turn off; so car won't start.I have done the following: Replaced the remote battery; Made sure the clutch is fully depressed; locked and unlocked the doors with the dash switch; tried other switches (all seem to work and lights work); fully charged the battery. The immobilizer system in the 993 is a real pain, but no one seems to know how to disable or bypass the system. The car has 16,000 miles on the odometer, and part of the reason the mileage is so low is that without it starting, it doesn't go any where. I need a solution.ThanksBill
