Car won't start

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 liter stock; Total Mileage: 96k approx;

Chris,I have a recurring problem.....when I go to start the car, I have good battery power and I can hear (what I believe to be) the fuel pump up front, but the car won't start. In the past, my mechanic diagnosed the problem as five, half dollar-sized plugs under the dash just above the drivers left knee. He said that sometimes they become loose or just need to be pushed in. The one other time I had this problem, his solution worked and the car fired right up. I went to start the car last night and had this problem, but fiddling around with all the plugs did nothing. I have pulled all of them out, tried to clean them and have pushed them back in tight, but the car won't start. Any ideas on what the problem could be or of any way to start the car to avoid having it towed to my mechanic?Thanks
