Fuel Injection & Carbs

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1974; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0; Total Mileage: 103000;

I need a good technique for syncronising and tuning my weber 40's. I have the haynes weber book but it is rather vauge to my carbs. On each barrel there is two screws: the air bypass, the air/fuel mixture screw, and then one idle speed screw for the two barrels together. I can get the idle in sync by removing the plug wires for the two cylnds and measuring the idle of each carb. As for the air and the air/fuel mixture I just don't know when they are correct. Could you help please?
