Changes to a stock 964 for DE events.

I recently purchased my first Porsche, a one owner stock 1993 RS America. Through Nord Stern, the local PCA chapter, I participated in three days of Training/Drivers Education and I am now hooked. Most of the more experienced drivers agreed that I should make changes to the suspension. That is the only thing they agree on. 1) How do I evaluate what suspension set up will work best for my car at DE events?2) Has the technology changed much over the past nine years? Is a new set of CUP shocks and springs going to be more advanced than a used set from six or seven years ago?3) What are the trade offs of using Factory parts, H&R, or others? Thanks.
