Joel,Apologies if this is a repeat. I'm not sure if my entry got submitted so please disregard if this is a repeat. Thanks for the tip on the hidden rear seat anchors and the Cosco Eddie Bauer seat. The Cosco Eddie Bauer fits in the back seat of my 1999 996 coupe. Regarding the rear seat tether, I did some additional research and found the following on Cosco's site:"Vehicles manufactured after 1989 have pre-drilled holes but need to have the anchor hardware installed. Most vehicles after 9/1/99 have the anchor hardware already installed. Please refer to your vehicle owners manual or call your vehicle dealership for more information regarding the installation of the tether in your vehicle."They have a good FAQ section on child seats: http://www.safety1st.com/faq.asp?categoryID=2Also, my owner's manual does indeed have a section on child seat restraint with an illustration of where the rear seat anchors are. Unfortunately, you have cut the carpet to get to them. If you have a pre-1999 car that has the pre-drilled hole but not the tether (anchor), the manufacturer of Cosco seats, Dorel Juvenile Group, sells the tether kit for about $10.Here's the information:http://www.coscojuvenile.com/Mail: Dorel Juvenile GroupConsumer Relations DepartmentP.O.
