996 Carrera 4. When I turn the wheel rapidly with force and at times when braking and at ttimes when using the stering wheel for leverage when exiting the car the horn chirps. The service people say it is the clock spring, but, the horn is very sensitive, just putting a light touch on the horn actuation area causes it to honk. It could be the clockspring as the mechanics suggest or, maybe there is a spring that has weakened that keeps the contact points apart on the wheel face. Perplexed.QUESTION: How do I determine which?QUESTION: If it is the clockspring, would you put a used one in for 60 from EBAY or pay 260 for a new one?QUESTION: Has anyone done this? Could you tell me how to do either project?QUESTION: Is an airbag activation likely with me trying to do it myself? They are expensive.....Thank youLunglord lunglord.com
