Compression Ratio


Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Engine (Size, Modifications): 3.8 L turbo; Total Mileage: 3000+;

I am rebuilding the internals on my 996tt. I am having Wossner (Germany) build a set of 3.8 L pistons and liners. The motor is also incorporating GT1 oil pump, Ruf titanium rods, GT3R crank and GT3 Cup heads. The stock 996tt compression ratio is 9.4.1. I presently have the option of using any compression ratio I want. I have seen other larger motors use from 8.3.1 to 9.3.1. I am leaning at 9.0.1 but have not made up my mind yet. Any suggestions?
