Hello,

I was in the process of removing my control arms in order to replace the bushings but cannot determine the most efficient way to remove the struts from the control arms.

The bently manual calls out removing the wedge bolt above the control arms and the slotted nut connecter to the ball joint using a speciatly tool.

Will the front strut slide out of the ball joint if I just remove the wedge bolt connection?  Currently the bolt is not coming out after a few wacks with a hammer and I wanted to see if it was worth persuing.
