Deer Damage

Paint

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 124000;

On my drive home from San Diego Parade this year I hit a deer while driving my 1985 911. The good news was that my wife and I did not have a scratch on us. The bad news was my beloved 911 had the biggest bug splat ever.The worst damage was the front trunk. The insurance company agreed to replace the trunk lid. A new trunk lid has the wrong trunk light. My paint shop cant locate a used Grand Prix White trunk in good shape. He did find a red hood right here in Oklahoma. He will strip it down on the outside. He is telling me that the inside can be painted but the red paint cant be completely removed due to the soft sound deading stuff.My 911 is not an concours car. I drive it and autocross it. I dont ever plan on entering a real concours. Our club does have top only shows but I want my car to look just like it used to. Is the blue brake fluid warning sticker available? My 911 has 124,000 miles and all the rock chips will now be gone. The rest of the paint looks just like new. What is your opinion; will the straight used red hood be a better choice than a new hood? Is the blue sticker still available?
