Dice Ipod installation

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne S; Year: 2006; Mileage: 17K;

I recently had my shop instal the DICE IPOD kit which allows you to control the ipod through the Porsche Nav screen and controls. The system works and sounds great, when it connects. This is the problem. First thing in the morning, after the car has sat all night, the nav/entertainment system searches for the DICE/Ipod system, which is installed to replace the rear CD changer. It will cycle unsuccessfully many times (from 6-20+)posting the error message CD CHANGER NOT FOUND. It appears worse in the cold weather. When it eventually "locates" the IPOD it works fine all day, untill the car sits for more than 12 hours. Then the problem repeats. DICE has replaced the unit once and the optical connection has been cleaned and replaced to no avail. And "of course" Porsche will not help. Any thoughts.SCGC2
