DICE IPOD interface with Porsche Nav System

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne S; Year: 2006; Mileage: 17,000;

I recently had the DICE IPOD unit installed in '06 Cayenne S. This unit is designed to interface seamlessly with the Porsche Navigation System by replacing the rear CD Changer interface with DICE/IPOD system and provide full IPOD control/readout through the Nav screen. When it works, it works beautifully. The problem lies with getting the DICE unit to turn on after the car has been sitting overnight. The Nav/Communication "searches" for the DICE unit repeatedly, generating the error message "CD Changer not found" until it either connects to the DICE unit or stops searching. (connection is confirmed by the DICE logo appearing on the IPOD screen, even when no connection to DICE is made it is clear, however, that the IPOD is being turned on). Often if the temp is below 32, the situation is worse and no connection will occur. However, if after I park the car at the office I use it again during the day, the Nav system will connect to the DICE unit and all works well. Any help will be greatly appreciated before I park the Cayenne for the Spring and take out the 993. DICE tec has had some suggestions and even replaced the unit, but this has not helped. Thanks Stephen
