Model: 911, Year:1985, Mileage:216000, Type of use:Street use only
As a longtime 911 owner I can say some of the enjoyment of owning the car is knowing I can service almost any part on it. Meanwhile the most I unappealing aspect of the water cooled cars is the idea this is not possible. However, lately I've been seeing shop manuals available for the water cooled cars....911, 986 primarily. Is it really possible for owners with good mechanical skills to perform major service on these cars? I'm thinking of clutch replacement, engine / transmission service etcThanks.
