Drainage Points

The drainage point next to the battery on the driver's side was clogged. I put my finger in it to clear it and managed to push the rubber through. I was able to reclaim it from under the car. I also removed the plastic tube and rubber washer to which it is supposed to drain. My problem? How do I put everything back? I can't get the rubber in because the steering column is in the way. Even if I could pop it back in somehow, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to connect the plastic drain pipe. Is there a way I can access this from under the car? Also, do you know anywhere I can view a diagram of the car's drainage?
