Electrical and OEM spare tire compressor

Other

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1985; Body Type: Convertible; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 14,400;

I just completed the purchase of my 85 911 and I have 2 questions.First, where can I purchase an OEM spare tire compressor. My low milage cab is original in all respects sans the compressor.Second is electrical related. My clock and dome light only work when the driving lights are turned on. At first I thought the clock was not working due to age. I pulled it out and tested it with a voltage meter and it only has current with driving lights on. The dome light works only when driving lights are on. Not very useful when entering the vehicle at night. Also, the back lights for the dash mounted heat and vent controls are on when ever the ignition is turned on. I thought they should only be on when the driving lights are turned on. The prior owner only put on approx. 750 miles a year and had his battery run down several times. He had a trickle charger installed and I am suspecting that someone may have made an adjustment to the wiring circuit to avoid having a constant drain on the battery. Is there a simple way to trouble shoot, and where can I get a wiring diagram. Is this best left to a skilled tech to correct?
