Engine

Model: Porsche 993, Year:1997, Mileage:52000, Type of use:Both Street & Track
The Check Engine light came on about three years ago on my 1997 993. Beverly Hills Porsche (BHP) said the car will need engine job. I got 2nd opinion from Foreign Sport Technician in Santa Monica - Car needs Engine job, but you can still drive the car for a while. Late last year the car starts to idle rough.About 6 months ago Gemballa installed Porsche RS chip, Sport Mufflers, Sport Catalytic Converter and Sport Headers in my 993. The Car runs Great. (Check Engine Light still on).So I took the car back to BHP and explain the above. I was told that the car needs engine job which will take care of the idle problem amongst other things. Anyway the job was done, costing over $16000.00. Now the car idles even more rough. I took the car back to BHP 1 days after the engine job, they had the car for over 4 days and could not find any problem, BHP suggested that I drive the car for 1000 to 2000 miles and that the idle problem will go away. I've driven the car for over 1430 miles and the idling problem is not getting better. Is there anything BHP is overlooking?Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.ThanksHarry
