Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 headers,exhaust,chip; Total Mileage: 110,000;

I bought my 911 april of 2005 and drove it all summer long putting about 5000 miles on the car and it seemed to run very well the only thing I did notice was the valves seemed a bit loud. Early this year I gave the car a tune up new plugs and wires fixed oil leaks adjusted the valves and added headers, new muffler and a chip.I was very happy with the car and it continued to run well although the valves still seemed a little loud most noticable on the driver side. When I did the valve adjustment the valves seemed to be in correct adjustment already. I continued to drive the car this summer adding about 3000 miles. Then today I took it out for a quick ride never really ran above 4000 rpm and as I was returning home it started to make a very loud clicking sound? idle was fine just loud clicking seeming to come from the drivers side?could this be some sort of valve train failure? or something else like a rod , bearing ? what can I do to diagnos the problem thank you for your help
