Engine running bad

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera Targa; Year: 1989; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 190,000;

Recently took my car to a car wash. After washing the car started, but was running rough (usual after washing). But as I pulled away from the car wash, the car would bog down if I gave it gas and eventually died. The car then wouldn't restart. I ran the battery down cranking to start and had to get a jump. I limped the car home (running horrible). Once home, I took off the distributor cap to let dry out assuming that was the problem. After letting it set a whole day I tried to start it and it was still running really rough. I reached down to make sure all plug wires were seated correctly and got a pretty substantial shock!! Would plug wires be my problem?? Seems strange that they would just all of a sudden stop working properly. Car had been running perfectly up until the car wash and hasn't run the same since. Anything else I could possibly look for??Thanks!
