Engine stall

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 T; Year: 1972; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): Original, with MFI; Total Mileage: 53,000;

After driving for about 20 minutes at roughly 80 mph in 105 degree heat, my dependable baby stalled out as I drove down the Interstate. After cooling down for about one hour she started up and rode home without incident. The only explanation that I can come up with is vaper lock. Is that likely? Do you have any suggestions?
