Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1985; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 160,000 (20,000 on new engine);

Dear Chris!"W O W!"I drove all day with the new DME relay! The results were more than I expected:1. Immediate start, I have to re-learn to start without hold on to the ignition.2. No more "Hunting" on the idle. I forgot to mention that she did that intermittenly. Now all day it did not rear it's ugly head. I always thought it was a tuning issue but now I do not have to embarrased that at a stop light it did not appear I was reving the engine like a retard.3. Smoother Acceleration. I use to stumlbe but now off the line smooth as silk.4. Added Power through the gears. Very Nice!5. A/C no longer shuts the engine off/stalls at stop light. I use to have to take it out of gear at stop to insure the engine would not stop.I thought I was being hyper sensitive and psyching myself out but my lady notice the differnce as well. She stated the ride was smoother and she felt being pushed back in the seat when I accelerated.MEMBERS! If you have not done so already do this replacement. It is worth every penny ($29) and swap took 10 seconds. Performance (priceless)Chris, I left the DME relay loose. Do I need to have it bolted down? I left the old one in it's place as a back up but if I need to use the "stay" put bracket, please advise to do so and I will.Your humble student,Jim :-) Zoom Zoom
