I'm having trouble with oscillating idle. I know that variations of this question get posted quite a bit. I've got a rough start followed by smooth running until it warms up, then I get really bad idle surges where the engine will surge to 1200 to 1500 RPM and then drop down to about 600 RPM. It does this constantly after it's warmed up. I've checked vacuum leaks and checked several of the basic things you and the bently manual say to check. I'm having no luck. The big thing is that everyone says check your exhaust gasses for the proper settings of O2 sensor. I don't happen to have an exhaust gas analyzer and unless I'm missing something, those things are about $5000. Is there a cheaper model or some better solution out there that I'm missing. Also, any advice on "other" things to check would really be helpful as well.
