exhaust port ceramic coating

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 964; Year: 1991; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): numerous; Total Mileage: 65000;

Chris,I recently replaced the large oil line under the engine. When I took the heat exchangers off I found some chunks of ceramic have broken off from the exhaust ports. Thankfully no turbos. Ceramic cracked in two heads. I had the heads "refurbished" 3 years ago when I did a complete rebuild. Done at Competition Engineering (Walt) in California who I have been told is the best (Bruce Andreson and Jerry Woods recommended him). My question is: Do I need to pull the engine and remove the heads immediately or is it a project that can wait till next winter?
