Exhaust smoke

Engine

Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.7L; Total Mileage: 33,000; Transmission: Manual;

On rare occasion when starting the car blue smoke will come from the exhaust. No smoke is observed once started. The dealer said it is an accumulation of oil that drips to the bottom of the cylinder after shutting the engine down and will burn up upon starting. I haven't noticed any oil loss (only have around 1000 miles since purchase) 33k total on the car, but do have a concern about burning oil. The first 4 or 5 times this happened, I tried burning a tank full of middle octane gas and since have used only hi octane. Since using hi octane this occured only once. Could it be the gas? I bought the car in late July '05 and the smoke has been obsereved approximately 6 times. Not frequent at all.Thanks,Tom
