Extended Warranty

Vehicle Information: Year: 2000; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2L 6-cylinder; Total Mileage: 16666;

I recently purchased a 2000 Boxster S from the original owner (not a dealer); at the time of purchase the car had only 7,000 miles on it. I am totally in love with the car and have been putting ridiculous mileage on it (2K/month); the car is my daily driver, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I plan to keep the car for several years, and would like to protect my investment. My factory warranty expires in May, 2004, and I am looking at what extended warranties are available. Surfing around the web, it seems that and have the best programs -- they cover a lot and allow you to get service anywhere. Still, I am hesitant to spend $3000 on the web, and also with all of the exclusions (i.e. clutch plate/cylinder, shocks, top, etc). My local Porsche dealer also offers a warranty, but it is considerably more expensive (almost $4000) and only allows me to get service at the dealer with a $100 deductible each time. Have you had any experience, or heard anything about these warranties? Also, do you know of any other options I can pursue to extend the warranty on my car, or any other alternatives that are available? Thanks in advance for your help.
