Front End moaning sound when wheel is turned

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1989; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 G50; Total Mileage: 118K;

My '89 Targa has an audible groan/moan coming from the front end when the steering wheel is turned to the R or L. It stops fine with plenty of brake pedal. I put it up on a lift, removed the panel over the steering linkage, and found no problems there. Could this be a brake issue? The left rotor appears to have a very subtle warp to it. My plan is to have the rotors turned.Any thoughts on this?
