"frozen" ignition switch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1982; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 140,000;

Neither of my keys will turn the ignition switch. I sprayed WD-40 into the switch and let it set overnight, but the tumblers are still frozen. Is it possible to replace just the tumblers, or does the entire assembly (wheel lock, etc.) have to be replaced? If so, where can I purchase the tumblers (the catalogs just offer the entire assembly)? Also, while "troubleshooting," I inadvertently locked the steering wheel; will this affect the repair in any way? Any tips you can provide will be welcome; the Bentley manual (otherwise excellent) does not provide much detail.Thanks for your help, Chris.
