Fuel Octane and Fuel Additive

I am concerned about the Octane level I am running in my car after seeing a number of postings discussing a required 92 octane. In Canada, in my province at least, the highest rating i can find is a 91. I use this in my other German cars which require premium fuel as well, without any noticable problems. '74 Volkswagen Beatle, 1988 BMW 318i & 2002 BMW MZ3. Am I doing any long-term damage here by continuing to use the 91 in my Porsche (and others)? Should I be using an octane boost? Am I loosing power? Also I see many references to Chevron Techtron fuel additive. Again another product I don't have access to in my neck of the woods so I have begun using Redline fuel additive. Service records with the vehicle have shown that previous owner used Swepco. Is this the Redline acceptable? Are you aware of any fuel brand in Canada that is equivelant to the Chevron, which already contains the techtron. I currently use ESSO, which in the US would be Mobil I think. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
